As a private 365-acre nature reserve set along the banks of the Macal River in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, Chaa Creek provides a unique rainforest experience for those looking for a ecologically educational and recreational family experience. Within the reserve there are miles of well maintained trails for guided horseback riding, mountain biking, and nature walks. Canoe, bird watch and explore the onsite archaeological sites, or simply relax in your hammock with binoculars or a good book.
Day 1 : Arrive to Chaa Creek
Transfer Internationall Airport to Chaa Creek. Orientation and gift package upon arrival.
Day 2 : Nature Day
Natural History Centre/Butterfly Farm. Nature Rules Treasure Hunt is a fun-filled activity where kids will learn about tropical animals and plants, about insects and life cycles, and about the importatnce of conserving
and protecting the fragile environments that we all share. Creatures of the Night Hike.
Day 3 : Visit Village
Canoe trip to Cristo Rey. Village tour and lunch. Canoe further to San Ignacio Town.
Day 4 : Maya Adventure
A horseback ride will take you traveling back in time to on-site ancient Maya temples while the children become junior archaeologists learning about the mystery of a lost civilization. This will also include a guided tour of the ceremonial Mayan temple of Xunantunich.
Day 5 : Robert's Grove
Transfer to Robert's Grove Placencia. Mom and dad can always share in their kids' fun and also have some special rainforest time of their own with adventurous options big and small. (overnight at Robert's Grove)
Day 6 : Snorkel Adventure
Snorkel Tour to witness the unique and vibrant underwater world. (overnight at Robert's Grove)
Day 7 : Beach Day
Day of fun at the beach. (overnight at Robert's Grove)
Day 8 : Depart for Home
Drop off at Placencia airstrip for flight to International Airport
